Chippy, Beachy, Vintage Chairs

I cannot believe we are at the start of a new week and it is already the end of July! I have a ridiculously busy August so I took this past week to kind of just relax and not work on too many projects.

Remember how a couple of weekends ago we brought our boys to the movies for the first time? Well, we were a little early heading over their and had some time to kill so we hit up a tag sale. Seriously, what else would we do!

Anyway, I got a great deal on these two chairs, which were structurally fine, but in desperate need of makeover as the previous finish was completely worn off.

I started by sanding the chairs and then giving them one coat of paint. The majority of the chair is cream and the oval in the center, that I wanted to highlight, is charcoal. I then sanded the chairs with some very coarse sand paper so give it a beautiful time worn look.

I love chippy furniture!

I adore these chairs...don't they have awesome lines! Can't wait until the new owner comes and picks them up so she can see them in person!

And seriously that is it for me! See I told you all I had a lazy week! Time to kick it into gear though as I have several custom orders and a garage full of furniture waiting to be painted.

Enjoy your Sunday!
